Inverse spectral problems for Sturm-Liouville operators with transmission conditions
Abstract: This paper deals with the boundary value problem involving the differential equation -y''+q(x)y=lambda y subject to the standard boundary conditions along with the following discontinuity conditions at a point y(a+0)=a1y(a-0), y'(a+0)=a2y'(a-0)+a3y(a-0). We develop the Hochestadt-Lieberman’s result for Sturm-Lio...
متن کاملglobal results on some nonlinear partial differential equations for direct and inverse problems
Spectral Analysis of Volterra Operators and Inverse Problems for Systems of Ordinary Differential Equations
This paper consists of two parts. The purpose of the rst part is a treatment of integral Volterra operators (0.1) K : f ! x Z 0 k(x; t)f(t)dt; f = (f 1 ; : : : ; f n); with k(x; t) being an n n matrix kernel, in the spaces L p 0; 1] C n of vector functions. The following questions are considered: a description of cyclic, invariant and hyperinvariant subspaces, spectral multiplicity and similari...
متن کاملIncomplete Inverse Spectral and Nodal Problems for Differential Pencils
We prove uniqueness theorems for so-called half inverse spectral problem (and also for some its modification) for second order differential pencils on a finite interval with Robin boundary conditions. Using the obtained result we show that for unique determination of the pencil it is sufficient to specify the nodal points only on a part of the interval slightly exceeding its half. Mathematics S...
متن کاملSymplectic inverse spectral theory for pseudodifferential operators
We prove, under some generic assumptions, that the semiclassical spectrum modulo O(~) of a one dimensional pseudodifferential operator completely determines the symplectic geometry of the underlying classical system. In particular, the spectrum determines the hamiltonian dynamics of the principal symbol.
